WELL MADE – Living with buildings, Rawminds

In collaboration with Adam Blencowe

Adam Blencowe and I were invited to design and manufacture an installation to showcase exhibits produced by young people for the ‘Living with Buildings’ exhibition at the Wellcome Collection. The design of the space and display needed to complement the other exhibit of the gallery, the Global Clinic, designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners architects.
Working alongside the Wellcome Collection team and RSHP architects, we curated the work to be shown as well as proposed its layout. We then designed a display system that allowed 2D and 3D works to be hung or shown on shelves at various heights. The furniture was made using CNC, a digitally controlled cutting process, the same method used for the clinic.
